The Front Range Art Association is proud to announce the 1st Annual Old North Trail Art Rendezvous, “A Gathering of Artists on the Rocky Mountain Front”, July 31st through August 3rd, 2024 in Choteau, Montana!

Caravan to the Mountain Old North Trail

Caravan up to the mountains, if you choose, led by some of our FRAA members and Al Wiseman, a cultural preservationist and member of the Michif Little Shell community of Montana. We will take you to the base of the mountains where Al will direct you to the historical Old North Trail.

Live Music in the Park Rob & Halladay Quist, Choteau City Park

Live Music by Rob & Halladay Quist in the City Park under Choteau’s new Bandshell. Artists are invited to set up their workstations or just sit back and relax. The City Pavilion will be open if you want to show some of your artwork.

Go wherever the TRAIL leads you!  FRAA members will be there to make suggestions.  There are many places along the Front that are just a short drive away, or you can stay right in Choteau!

Join us at the Old Trail Museum for a live drawing/painting session featuring models in vintage clothing.

Meet us at the Old Trail Museum for more exciting demonstrations, mini workshops & live models in vintage clothing. 

The Rocky Mountain Front Farmer's Market next door at the Visitor's Center will stay open until 3 and welcomes artist to set up and sell their artwork.

Set up your art space for the evening show. Your spot should already be reserved. Each artist will be given a table to showcase their Rendezvous art.

If space allows you may show a few pieces of your art that weren’t done during the Rendezvous

Show your art to the public. View all of the other artists work, and celebrate the weekend. 

Enjoy live music by the Loose Mules!

No Commission Taken.  Artists are responsible for handling their own sales.

A food truck will be available for no-host dinner.

The Elmer Schock Memorial High School Art Show will be held in conjunction with the Old North Trail Art Rendezvous Show.  Young artists will be displaying a piece of their artwork with awards given in memory of long-time Choteau artist Elmer Schock. We hope to inspire up-and-coming artists!
