CALLING STUDENT ARTISTS
ELMER SCHOCK MEMORIAL STUDENT ART SHOW in conjunction with Old North Trail Art Rendezvous
This summer, July 29, July 30, July 31, and August 1st, the Front Range Art Association (FRAA) will hold its third annual “Old North Trail Art Rendezvous” in Choteau, MT. The Rendezvous is a gathering of artists and craftsmen that work in a variety of mediums. In conjunction with that event, FRAA will also be hosting an art competition for high school students in memory of local western and wildlife artist Elmer Schock. Elmer supported many community projects throughout his lifetime with his art and was a great champion of new and aspiring artists. The “Elmer Schock Memorial Student Art Show” will be on display at the Stage Stop Inn Convention Center throughout the Rendezvous. Saturday afternoon and evening there will be a show of art created over the four days from 5:00 – 8:00 pm at the Stage Stop Inn convention center. Student winners will be announced at that show.
Cash awards will be given to the top three choices of student art voted on by participating artists of the Art Rendezvous.
Awards include:
1st place -$300
2nd place -$200
3rd place- $100
Eligibility includes:
- Must be in grade 9-12 during the 2025/2026 school year
- Attend school (including home school) in Teton County or Augusta, MT
- Art must be an original piece even if done in a classroom setting
- Art must be show ready (paintings framed or gallery type canvas)
- Woodworking, Metal Art, Leather work, etc must be easy to display
All entries must be received by June 15, 2026
